Absolutely not!

GENERAL INFORMATION

DO YOU RECOMMEND TRAVEL PROTECTION?
Yes! We personally never travel without it and recommend our clients do the same!

The price of Travel Protection is dependent on each passenger's total vacation cost and varies by vendor. Optional Travel Protection will be added to all quotes, as we strongly recommend you don't travel without it!

WHAT IS THE MAIN REASON FOR NEEDING TRAVEL PROTECTION?
Your Peace of Mind is probably the #1 reason for purchasing Travel Protection! Seriously, most travel claims that are filed pertain to people needing to cancel their vacation due to illness or involve someone in the party becoming seriously ill or hurt while in a foreign country and needing to get back to the USA immediately. The cost of emergency medical evacuation isn’t covered by US-based insurance companies, so you need to have Travel Protection Coverage that covers an Emergency Medical Evacuation if you’re going to avoid having to cover the expense yourself (the cost of emergency evacuation could likely exceed $50,000!).

You’ll want to contact your medical insurance provider to see if in fact you have any coverage for medical treatment outside of the USA and if they’ll cover the cost of an emergency medical evacuation (most do not!).

IF I HAVE A PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION, CAN I STILL PURCHASE TRAVEL PROTECTION?
In order to purchase your travel protection and have coverage for medical cancellation you need to be physically able to travel at the time of purchase! So, if you’ve just had surgery and are in recovery or are experiencing medical problems that prevent you from traveling at the moment, you CANNOT purchase your vacation and have full Travel Protection coverage at that time. You should wait until you’re cleared for travel and any medical concerns have been stabilized for at least the past 90 days.

Should you purchase your travel protection while you’re not able to travel the medical coverage portion of your policy will not be active and any claim processed against it will likely be denied; however, most policies we will sell you will include a “Cancel-For-Any-Reason” coverage whereby you’ll receive a portion of your cancelation fee back as future travel credit or a cash refund, based upon the policy description. You need to review the provisions of the policy for the exact coverage you can expect.

IF I HAVE A CREDIT CARD WITH TRAVEL BENEFITS, DO I STILL NEED TO PURCHASE TRAVEL PROTECTION?
It depends. Most credit card policies do not cover pre-existing medical conditions or emergency medical evacuations. You need to review your credit card terms closely to see what it does cover and make an informed decision on whether or not the coverage is sufficient for your needs.

As a general rule, the more you pay for your annual credit card fee (the cost just to have the card!), the more coverage they normally have. The Chase Sapphire Reserve is an excellent credit card for Travel Protection; however, as of May, 2024, the annual fee is $550 plus $75 for each authorized user. The card must be used for your trip purchases, so if you’re going to look into getting a ‘Travel Credit Card’ you need to do so in advance of actually needing to pay for your upcoming vacation. (https://www.chase.com/personal/credit-cards/education/basics/chase-sapphire-travel-insurance-guide)

DO YOU CHARGE A "SERVICE FEE" TO BOOK WITH YOU?
There is no charge to receive a quote or for us to book your vacation. We earn commission directly from the vendor once you travel. In the instances when we will be assessed a "credit card processing fee" (like with our group trips for Universal and Disney) we will tell you ahead of time.

However, if you’d like us to make your air reservations for you with the airline, we will charge you a service fee since the airlines don’t pay us commission. You can avoid this by making your own reservations – we’re more than happy to assist you with finding the correct flights for your specific vacation at no cost to you!

FEES & BOOKING QUESTIONS

DO YOU ACCEPT MONEY PERSONALLY OR HOLD MONEY "IN-HOUSE"?
No!

All payments are made DIRECTLY with the vendor (cruise line, resort, tour company, airline, etc). You will see them reflected on your credit card statement this way.

For some Adventures (like Disney and Universal) because they require one bulk-payment for groups, credit cards are charged thru our Headquarters, WTH/DreamVacations/CruiseOne.

Because of this we only accept credit and debit cards. (Note: For Debit cards you'll need to call your bank to "authorize" the transaction prior to us processing the payment if the amount exceeds your daily maximum or the transaction will be denied).

We DO NOT accept Zelle, Cashapp, Venmo, or any other payment method as most vendors do not accept these.

WILL YOU SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN FOR ME?
Absolutely!

As long as there is sufficient time between your initial payment date and the date the final payment is due we’re happy to set up a payment plan for you at no additional cost. The payment plan will consist of equal monthly payments using the same credit card used for your initial deposit and will be automatically made on your behalf. We process monthly payments on the 1st and 15th of each month.

WHEN IS THE FINAL PAYMENT DUE FOR MY VACATION?
The date of final payment is set by the specific vendor (i.e. Cruise line, Disney, Universal, etc). Most final payment dates are 3-4 months prior to travel; however, some vendors (like River cruises) require full payment as much as 1 year prior to travel.

We'll process your final payment approximately 10 days before the actual due date to ensure timely processing. Failure to make final payments on schedule may result in reservation cancellation, and any previous payments may be forfeited.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

DO I NEED A SPECIAL ID TO FLY DOMESTICALLY?
Beginning May 7, 2025, anyone age 18 or older will need a REAL-ID to fly domestically. Anyone whose Driver's License is not REAL-ID compliant as of May 7, 2025 will be turned away at the airport. REAL-ID compliant Drivers Licenses have a yellow star, black star, or bear with a star in the upper right-hand corner.

The only other acceptable alternatives to a REAL-ID are a passport (that is valid 6 months after your return date) or an Enhanced Driver's License issued by WA, MN, NY, or VT.

You can find more information on REAL-ID here: https://www.dhs.gov/real-id/real-id-faqs

DO I NEED A PASSPORT TO TRAVEL?
For international travel, U.S. CITIZENS MUST HAVE A VALID PASSPORT (one that expires 6 months AFTER your trip end date).

For U.S. cruises that begin and end in different ports/cities, U.S. CITIZENS MUST HAVE A VALID PASSPORT (one that expires 6 months AFTER your trip end date).

For U.S. cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port/city, U.S. Citizens must have a VALID PASSPORT (one that expires 6 months AFTER your trip end date)
- or -
ORIGINAL CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATE (must have a raised seal) and photo ID. If the names on your birth certificate and photo ID do not match, you need to have all 'connecting documents' (marriage certificate, divorce decree, official adoption certificate). NOTE: Should an emergency occur while cruising without a passport, you will not be able to fly back to the U.S.

For Norwegian Hawaii cruises (Hawaii inter-island cruises), U.S. CITIZENS ONLY NEED A PHOTO ID (valid passport or valid driver's license). A birth certificate is not needed.

For all cruises that call on a Mexican port, you must have a valid passport (one that expires 6 months AFTER your trip end date) for the following reason: Guests who miss all-aboard time in a Mexican port and wish to rejoin the ship in the next Mexican port will be required to present a passport. In addition, the guest will be required to pay a visa fee, a possible fine, as well as cover the cost of transportation to the following port. Furthermore, if the guest fails to present a passport, the guest must obtain permission from the Immigration department to travel to the next port of call without a passport.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE TRAVEL WITH A VALID PASSPORT REGARDLESS OF YOUR DESTINATION!

  • Guests who miss all-aboard time at the ship's scheduled U.S. departure port and need to travel outside the U.S. to embark the ship at the next scheduled port of call, will be required to present a passport to leave and/or re-enter the U.S. by air.

  • Guests who unexpectedly need to disembark the ship from a foreign port prior to the end of sailing as a result of an emergency will be required to present a passport to leave and/or re-enter the U.S. by air.

  • Guests who unexpectedly need to disembark the ship prior to the end of sailing are required to advise the ship and complete the immigration/disembarkation process in order to disembark the vessel. A valid passport is required in order to complete the immigration/disembarkation process.

WHAT IF MY LAST NAME DOES NOT MATCH MY CHILD'S?
If your child has a different last name than you, you will need to bring an official supporting document (marriage certificate, divorce decree, government-issued name change document, official adoption document, etc) to help explain why the names are different. This must be the original or a notarized copy.

You may be denied boarding if you arrive at the airport and/or cruise/resort without it.

WHAT IF I AM TRAVELING WITH MY CHILD(REN) WITHOUT THEIR OTHER PARENT/GUARDIAN?
If you are traveling without all parents/guardians due to death, divorce, being a single parent, etc., you must bring with you the original legal authorization providing you with 100% custody of the child(ren).

If you share custody, you must bring the original, notarized Authorization for Minor to Travel without a Parent or Legal Guardian Form, signed by the missing parent/guardian authorizing you to travel with your child(ren) on this specific vacation.

Our office can provide you with this form to have it completed in front of a notary.

You may be denied boarding if you arrive at the airport and/or cruise/resort without it.

WHAT IF I AM TRAVELING WITH A MINOR THAT IS NOT MY OWN CHILD?
If you are traveling with a minor (under age 18), the accompanying adult must bring the original, notarized Authorization for Minor to Travel without a Parent or Legal Guardian Form, signed by the missing parent(s)/guardian(s) authorizing you to travel with the child(ren) on this specific vacation.

Our office can provide you with this form to have it completed in front of a notary.

You may be denied boarding if you arrive at the airport and/or cruise/resort without it.

IF I'M UNDER AGE 21, AM I ABLE TO TRAVEL BY MYSELF?
There are different requirements based upon where you’d like to go! Here are some of the most popular vacation spots:

Disney Theme Parks: Children under the age of 14 to be accompanied by a guest 14 years or older. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/parks/minimum-age/

Universal Orlando Resort: Children under the age of 14 to be accompanied by a guest 14 years or older in the Parks. While at CityWalk, guests under the age of 18 need to have an accompanying adult after 10PM. https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/faqs/park-information

Cruises: Generally, passengers must be 21 years old or married in order to sail without an adult/parent/guardian. For Infants, traveling with their parents, they must be at least 6 months old. For specific requirements, see the cruise line FAQ’s.

Carnival Cruise Lines: https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/category/~/youth-and-family/~/age-policies/c/464
Disney Cruise Lines: You can be 18 to sail without parents/guardians! https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/contracts-terms-safety/cruise-contract/united-states/

PREGNANCY

AM I ALLOWED TO FLY WHILE PREGNANT?
Typically, pregnant travelers are not allowed to fly after 36 weeks for domestic travel and after 28-35 weeks for international travel. Every traveler must follow the airline-specific guidelines regarding pregnancy.

It is recommended to carry proof of your due date with you in case it's requested.

AM I ALLOWED TO CRUISE WHILE PREGNANT?
A doctor's note confirming due date is required to cruise.

No cruise lines will allow you to sail if you have entered or exceeded your 24th week of pregnancy anytime prior to or during the cruise. Should you arrive at the pier for boarding and do not meet the requirements for sailing, you will be denied boarding and no refund will be issued. Travel protection does NOT cover your incurred expenses/penalty should this happen.

It is our recommendation that you purchase a fully refundable cruise fare if there is any possibility of getting pregnant prior to the cruise, especially when planning a cruise 8+ months in the future. This will allow you to cancel prior to the final payment and receive all of your payments back if you become pregnant and are not within the set parameters for sailing.

WHY DO YOUR CRUISE PRICES SOMETIMES APPEAR HIGHER THAN OTHER WEBSITES?
Other websites usually show you just the "cruise fare" to lure you in. We are transparent and include everything in the price that's required to sail.

All prices are per-person, based on double occupancy and include cruise fare, taxes, and prepaid service charges/tips.

(We treat you the way we wish to be treated!)

CRUISE PRICING & ONBOARD ACTIVITIES

WHY IS THERE NO GUARANTEED PRICING FOR 3rd TO 4th GUESTS ON YOUR CRUISES?
Due to limited stateroom availability for 3 and 4 passengers, the cruise lines will not guarantee rates for the 3rd and 4th passenger in a stateroom. Some cruise lines even limit the number of children onboard, so it is best to book early if you're interested in a triple or quad stateroom.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR CRUISE PRICES?
Anything before or after the cruise is not included, unless specifically noted in our quote.

The following items are normally available for purchase thru the cruise line, or you can purchase them on your own:

  • Airfare*

  • Parking at the cruise pier (if you drive)

  • Prenight Hotel

  • Transfers between the airport and cruise ship*

Once onboard the cruise ship, the following are some examples of things that will be billed to your onboard account:

  • Beverages (except those found in self-service dispensers)*

  • Specialty Dining*

  • Spa/Salon Services

  • Gift Shop Purchases

  • Casino Play

  • Arcade Games

  • Laundry

  • Photo Packages*

  • WiFi

  • Fee-Based Activities

  • Shore Excursions*

*unless otherwise noted in our quote

Not to worry, once you've selected your vacation, we'll be here to assist you with anything else you need, such as airfare, pre/post hotels, parking at the pier, and transfers, whether you choose to purchase them from the cruise line or on your own.

DOES OUR CRUISE SHIP HAVE A KIDS CLUB/PROGRAM?
Each of the cruise lines have their own version of a Kids Program, which is complimentary during normally scheduled hours for children ages 2 or 3 (based upon the cruise line). There may be an after-hours program available for an additional fee as well as babysitting for the younger children.

Registration should be completed pre-cruise since capacity per age group is often limited!

CAN MY CHILD COME AND GO TO THE KIDS CLUB/PROGRAM ON THEIR OWN?
Again, each cruise line is a little different, but generally children under 9 must be dropped off/picked up by a parent or an authorized adult. Proof of ID is required (cruise card presentation). The older children are able to sign themselves in/out unless the parent/guardian requests otherwise.

ARE THERE KIDS CLUB/PROGRAM AVAILABLE FOR THOSE YOUNGER THAN AGE 2 OR 3?
Each of the cruise lines have a babysitting and playtime program for the younger kids which is available to you at an additional cost.

CAN WE DROP OFF OUR KIDS AT THE KIDS CLUB/PROGRAM TO ENJOY AN EVENING ON OUR OWN?
Complementary hours at the kids programs vary by ship/sailing; however, there is normally an after-hours program available to you for an additional cost. Specific details can be found in the kids club area onboard the ship. Normally babysitting is available during port hours and evenings; however, the cruise lines will require you to return to pick up your child during meal times.

CAN OUR CHILDREN OF VARYING AGES PARTICIPATE IN THE SAME KIDS CLUB/PROGRAM?
As a general rule, you may have your older children ‘move down’ to the lower aged club; however, sometimes the cruise line will make an exception for a younger child to ‘move up’ if they’re less than 1 year from the next age group. This is something you should ask about prior to your cruise so you can plan accordingly. Keep in mind that your children might actually enjoy the club designed specifically for their age, even if they’re not with their siblings.

WE'RE HOPING TO HAVE ANOTHER CHILD BY THE TIME WE CRUISE. ARE NEWBORNS ALLOWED TO SAIL?
All cruise passengers must be at least 6 months old as of the sailing date in order to sail. If you’re planning on sailing with a child less than 6 months old you need to make arrangements for a babysitter while you’re gone since you will not be allowed to take them with you!

Keep in mind that if you plan your cruise for 6 months after your due date and the baby arrives late, you will NOT be allowed to sail with the child and the cancelation of their reservation will be subject to cancelation penalties. The cruise lines will not allow you to cancel with a full refund for this reason. Therefore, you should plan a cruise with a new baby 8+months from your due date to ensure the baby will be at least 6 months old the day of sailing.

IS THERE WI-FI ON THE CRUISE SHIP?
Yes. All cruises we book for our adventures are Wi-Fi equipped. Depending on the ship and the area of the ship you're in, the internet may not be comparable to what you're used to at home.

Should you wish to have Wi-Fi, it would be an additional charge and is generally cheaper if you purchase it prior to sailing. Most cruise lines offer significant discounts around November (Black Friday, Thanksgiving).

IS THERE LAUNDRY OR DRY CLEANING ON THE CRUISE SHIP?
Yes.

Most laundry is not self-service and is charged as "per piece". You can expect to pay between $4-20/item. If you have cruised a lot with a particular cruise line, you may have free or discounted laundry service.

DOES WALT DISNEY WORLD OR UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HAVE WI-FI?
Yes. Both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios have complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the park and their hotels.
