This Adventure has been meticulously designed by our Agency, eliminating the need for metro or public transportation. All tours take place within walking distance of the National Mall, or when not possible, private transportation has been arranged from the group hotel. The tours we have planned include opportunities to enter or explore places and monuments, not just observe from a distance.

Throughout Washington, DC, you may undergo security screenings before entering museums, landmarks, government buildings, art galleries, restaurants, and other venues. These screenings may include bag inspections and requests for identification. While we strive to provide current information, we cannot be held responsible for denied entry, disposal of prohibited items, or any associate locker or storage fees.

We will provide you with location-specific security protocols closer to the Adventure, but here are a few important notes:

  • The following are considered weapons in Washington, DC, so you will be unable to bring them into museums/government buildings: mace, pepper spray, knives, scissors of any size, and pocketknives/multi-tools (i.e. Swiss Army knives, Gerber, Leatherman, etc)

  • If you don't have a purse/backpack/bag with you to inspect, you can usually walk thru a "no bag" line for quicker entry.

  • Chewing gum is not allowed in most areas in Washington, DC

All hotels listed below are located within 2 miles of the National Mall and offer accommodations for up to 6 people per room. Each hotel is conveniently situated within walking distance of the National Mall or near a metro stop. Note: You are not required to stay at the group hotel. Since all tours depart from this hotel (both walking and group shuttle), you will need to find your own transportation to it or find a way to meet up with the group.

  • 7:15PM -- 2.5 Hour Private Evening Bus Tour of the Monuments (FDR Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Memorial, MLK Jr Memorial, Iwo Jima Memorial, Jefferson Memorial) Bus will pick up and drop off from Hyatt Place Washington National Mall.

  • 8:30AM -- Private 3 Hour Walking Tour of the National Mall (WWII Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, MLK Jr Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial, Washington Monument, If Possible We Will Go Inside Washington Monument) Guide will escort group from Hyatt Place Washington National Mall to tour and drop off at lunch.

  • 1:30PM -- White House Visitor's Center Families will walk here (approx 5 min).

  • 8:45AM -- Private 2 Hour Walking Tour of Capitol Hill & Library of Congress (Supreme Court, Library of Congress, US Capitol) Guide will escort group from Hyatt Place Washington National Mall to tour and drop off at lunch.

  • 10:45AM -- Families are able to take a 1 hour tour inside the US Capitol afterwards, if they have permission from their Senator. Each family needs to submit this request to their Senator themselves (our office cannot assist you with this).

  • 12:00PM -- Lunch Cafeteria-Style (vouchers will be provided to each family prior to travel)

  • 1:30PM -- Choice of Museum: National Postal Museum (with Union Station) or Air & Space Museum Families will walk here (approx 13 min/17 min).

  • Families on own to explore, eat dinner, and get back to their accommodation.

  • 11:00AM -- Private Arlington National Cemetery Tram Tour (Iwo Jima Memorial, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier & Changing of the Guard, Arlington House, Military Women's Memorial, JFK Memorial, Taft Memorial) Bus will transport group to Arlington and then drop off at lunch
